BLS for Healthcare Providers
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an AED on adults and children, and relief of airway obstruction in responsive and non-responsive victims.
The course is designed for healthcare providers who care for both in and out of hospital.
Heartsaver CPR
The Heartsaver CPR Course is a modular CPR course that teaches rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for responsive adult, child, and infant victims. Students also learn to recognize the warning signs of heart attack and stroke in adults and breathing difficulties in children. This program teaches rescue breathing with and without the use of barrier devices. Heartsaver CPR (all ages) teaches CPR and relief of choking in the adult, infant, and child. Heartsaver CPR (adult module) teaches CPR and relief of choking in the adult. Heartsaver CPR (infant and child module) teaches CPR and relief of choking for infants (birth to 1 year) and children (1 to 8 years).
Heartsaver CPR is designed for those with a duty to respond, such as employees in the workplace, daycare workers, baby-sitters, police, airline personnel, security guards; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac arrest, other rescuers, and those who need or want to learn CPR.
Heartsaver AED
The Heartsaver AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and use of an AED. Child AED and infant/child CPR may be taught if students live or work in a setting where children are present. Students also learn to use barrier devices in CPR and give first aid for choking in the responsive victim. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of 3 major emergencies: heart attack, stroke and choking.
This program is designed for those with a duty to respond, such as police, airline personnel, security guards, and employees in the workplace; family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death; and other rescuers who may need to respond to a cardiac emergency and need to learn how to operate an AED.
